Pastoral care is an integral part of the ministry of Schmitt Woodland Hills. The task of Pastoral Care is sharing, encouraging and supporting residents and their families in their faith journey. Meeting the needs of each individual is our goal.

Recognizing the importance of individual expressions of faith is an essential role of the chaplain and the staff of Schmitt Woodland Hills. The pastor and congregation familiar to the resident and the family are the primary spiritual resource. Our chaplain strives to complement and assist in this ministries as needed and requested.

Each resident is seen as a child of God and the pastoral care staff seeks to strengthen the individual’s walk of faith.

Catholic Mass offered monthly The rosary is prayed weekly

Meditative moments Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. Chaplain Peach gathers resident and family in the Health Center.

Communion is open to anyone who has placed their faith in Christ regardless of church membership. Communion is offered quarterly at chapel services or upon request.

Special Services are offered for Lent, Maundy Thursday, Easter, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. Residents, family members, and the community are welcome.

Hymn sings and other spiritual activities are open to all.

The Schmitt Woodland Hills Chaplain, with the help of community pastors, volunteers and staff, is available to help with emotional and spiritual needs. The Chaplain is available for private visits with residents and their families.
