Schmitt Woodland Hills with Aegis Therapy

Comprehensive Therapy Services through our partnership with Aegis include both rehabilitative and restorative programs. Our full compliment of Therapy Services often qualify for Medicare reimbursement.

The Therapy Department operates 5 days a week providing a full range of services. Our staff specialize in areas of geriatric care. They offer treatment for Schmitt Woodland Hills residents and provide outpatient programs to seniors from the area.

Physical Therapy Services address issues of pain, muscle weakness, gait disorders and impaired balance. In many cases therapy helps cope with limitations caused by an injury or illness. The exercises and techniques of physical therapy combine to offer a proactive approach to fall prevention and a more rewarding lifestyle.

Occupational Therapy Services focus on activities of daily living such as eating, dressing, and basic household manipulations like washing, doing dishes and cooking. The goal is to help individuals regain and maintain independence for a productive and satisfying life.

Speech Therapy Services treat individuals with language, hearing, voice and other cognitive disorders. They help improve communication and reduce frustration. Therapists have advanced training in swallowing disorders and Laryngectomy.
